DescriptionThe whole story▼
A pair of skins over the intake trunking that runs rearwards from the nose. Small pieces, but they sit high on the flank where the fairing meets the tank, so they read from several metres away.
Key Features
- One piece per side, priced and shipped as a pair
- 245 Twill weave, autoclave-cured
- Duct geometry and opening size exactly as delivered
- Threads into the existing plastic bosses
- YZF-R9 from model year 2025
Nothing Behind Them Changes
The trunking underneath is untouched, and the apertures these leave are the ones Yamaha drew. That is deliberate: the CP3 runs closed-loop against a fuelling map written for a known intake path, and enlarging an opening is a change nobody calibrated for.
So treat this as trim. It looks like an intake modification and is not one, which on a Euro 5+ machine is exactly the right outcome.
A Sensible First Purchase
Of the five parts in this range these cost the least and show the most per euro. An owner who is undecided about a full carbon build can start here and see how the weave looks against their own paintwork before committing to the tank.
Fitment and Compatibility
Yamaha YZF-R9, model years 2025 to 2026, with the original ducting behind them.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this set. The apertures are unchanged and this is trim, not an intake modification.
Fitting
Both sides in one session so the fit can be compared directly. The fasteners thread into plastic bosses, so stop as soon as the cover stops moving.
