DescriptionThe whole story▼
Enduro events rarely wait for good weather. A Suzuki RMX 450 Z, built from 2010 to 2018, may start a winter enduro on frozen ground and finish on a waterlogged track in the afternoon. For such conditions Accossato offers the AGPA51 front pad in its Sintered compound, SKU AGPA51ST. It is intended for enduro riders who compete or ride through the cold and wet months and need a front brake that grips on a wet disc and keeps a steady feel from dawn to dusk.
Key Features
- AGPA51 front pad for the Suzuki RMX 450 Z, 2010 to 2018
- Sintered compound, SKU AGPA51ST
- Accossato: high, constant grip at low and high temperatures
- Good response on a wet disc
- For winter enduros and wet days
- Stable lever over a long day in the saddle
- OR, STMX and EV1 are also available
- No ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its Sintered compound delivers high grip that remains constant at both low and high temperatures and works well in the wet. For an enduro bike that rides through cold mornings and hot afternoons on the same day, this is an important quality. Low wear and controlled heat are part of the maker's design goals.
A Long, Wet Day
An enduro day can last six or seven hours. In winter, the first loop is ridden with cold brakes on frozen ground, the later loops in mud and rain. The RMX 450 Z's front brake has to work reliably throughout, even after hours of spray and cold water. A sintered pad keeps its bite on a wet disc and changes little as it heats up.
For riders who compete in winter series or simply ride every weekend of the year, this compound avoids having to change pads with the seasons.
Between Loops
At the service area, check the pads and remove the worst of the mud from the caliper. After the event, clean everything thoroughly and replace the fluid if it has been a long, wet season.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA51 is Accossato's front pad for the RMX 450 Z, listed for 2010 to 2018. At the rear, this RMX 450 Z uses AGPP106. A box contains the pads for one caliper.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German approval for AGPA51ST in our records; the pad is sold for off-road competition.
Scope of Delivery
One set of two Sintered front pads.
