DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Moto Guzzi Eldorado revives the name of a 1970s classic: spoked wheels with whitewall tyres, plenty of chrome and the big transverse V-twin of the California 1400 family in a deliberately retro setting. Most are ridden on sunny Sunday outings and to classic bike meets, at a gentle pace that suits the look. For that kind of ownership Accossato offers the AGPA96 front pad in the Organic compound, article AGPA96OR, catalogued for the Eldorado from 2015 to 2017.
Key Features
- AGPA96OR Organic front pads for the Moto Guzzi Eldorado
- Accossato lists the Eldorado 1400 from 2015 to 2017
- Mixture chosen for easy Sunday riding and meets
- Accossato speaks of durable performance and discs spared from heavy wear
- Quiet operation that suits a classic-styled bike
- Plate also available in ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
- Supplied for track use; no German approval papers held
Construction and Material Quality
In Accossato's words the Organic mixture offers performance over a long period and limits how much the disc wears. For an Eldorado that covers modest distances in good weather, both points are welcome: the brake feels smooth and natural from the first stop, and the original discs, part of the bike's look behind those spoked wheels, are spared. Accossato also generally claims strong stopping and resistance to fade, since the pad is designed not to run too hot. The Organic material is fixed to the AGPA96 plate.
Sunday Outings Without Fuss
An Eldorado ride often ends in a car park full of classic bikes, where people wander over to look at the chrome and whitewalls. Getting there calls for nothing more dramatic than a few relaxed stops at junctions and a gentle halt at the kerb. An Organic pad that is quiet and progressive keeps the whole experience calm.
Because the Eldorado is often stored for weeks between rides, check the brakes before the first outing of the season: pad thickness, fluid level and colour, and whether the discs have picked up surface rust that needs a few gentle stops to clear.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's entry for AGPA96 at the front of the Moto Guzzi Eldorado, which the maker calls Eldorado 1400, covers model years 2015 to 2017. Its rear counterpart is AGPA92 for the same years; no Accossato disc is catalogued. The Eldorado brakes its front wheel with twin calipers, so two boxes renew the whole front.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German approval certificate for AGPA96OR and sell it for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box holding a pair of Organic pads for a single front caliper.
