A used Monster 1200 S is a tempting buy: higher-spec suspension and brakes than the standard bike, a big Testastretta twin, and a production run that began in 2014. Anyone inspecting one should look beyond the paint and the tyres, and the front brake reservoir is a good place to start, because it is in plain view and says a lot about how the bike has been treated. The TS003 from Accossato is a cap for that reservoir, listed for the Monster 1200 S of 2014 to 2021; it is machined from aluminium and comes in seven anodised colours.

Construction and Material Quality
Machined from aluminium and anodised, the TS003 has a coloured surface in silver, gold, black, red, green, blue or orange. It is shaped for the standard front reservoir of the listed bikes, so the front brake system of the Monster 1200 S stays exactly as it is. When changing caps, look at the diaphragm under the old one: supple and clean is good, while cracked or swollen means it is time for a new one.
What a Buyer Reads in the Reservoir
When viewing a used Monster 1200 S, start at the handlebar. Is the fluid in the front reservoir within the marked range, and is it light in colour or dark? Dark fluid suggests it has not been renewed for a long time. Are there traces of spilled fluid on the tank or around the instruments? Brake fluid leaves marks, and they hint at careless work. Ask for the date of the last fluid change and compare it with the interval in the owner's manual. If you buy the bike, the first fluid service is a good moment to fit the TS003, though never as a substitute for fresh fluid. Do it with the bars turned so the reservoir sits level, the tank covered and water within reach to rinse any drop at once. Keep the reservoir open only briefly, since the fluid absorbs moisture. Tighten the cap gently and squeeze the lever several times at a standstill before the first ride on your new Monster.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list shows the TS003 for the front reservoir of the Monster 1200 S from 2014 to 2021 and of the S Stripe from 2015 and 2016.
