DescriptionThe whole story▼
The right-hand SuperSport switch for a 2019 R3 with a MECTRONIK dashboard, on a universal clamp pattern.
Key Features
- Yamaha R3 (2019–2024)
- Requires a MECTRONIK dashboard
- Universal hole pattern for either master cylinder
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Racing loom required
The Throttle Side of a Data Installation
On a MECTRONIK setup the right-hand cluster carries the starter, the kill switch and whatever the configuration assigns to it. Those inputs go to the dashboard rather than to Yamaha's ECU, which is why the part is dashboard-specific.
Universal Clamp Geometry
A racing R3 will have had its front brake improved, either because a regulation required it or because the standard unit was built to a price. The universal plate accepts both bolt arrangements and keeps that choice open.
Entry-Level, Seriously Contested
R3 classes are where a large share of European racers begin, and the standard of preparation has risen every year. A machine on one of those grids is not a road bike with stickers on it.
Not Interchangeable With I2M
JetPrime lists separate right-hand switches for MECTRONIK and I2M systems on this bike. They differ internally and no adapter exists, so the dashboard already installed decides which number is correct.
The Loom Is the Real Work
A racing harness replaces Yamaha's wiring and removes the road circuits. It is a larger job than the switch and it has to be done first, which is worth stating because the part looks like a simple replacement.
Sealed and Milled
Ergal 7075 cut from one block with sealed contacts. Club-level machines are washed hot and stored in vans between meetings, and that is what the construction is aimed at.
Six Model Years
The fitment covers 2019 to 2024. The earlier R3 and any later revision each take their own parts, and the registration year settles it rather than the shape of the fairing.
