DescriptionThe whole story▼

An enduro special test is ridden flat out, alone and against the clock, often through grass, woods and loose stones that change from lap to lap. The Honda CRF250RX, Honda's cross-country version of the CRF250R, feels at home in tests like this, and in a test the rider spends most of the time on the pegs, attacking. Accossato offers enlarged footpegs made of Ergal for the CRF250RX of 2019 to 2026, in orange, blue, black, red or Titanium.

Key Features

  • Enlarged footpegs for the Honda CRF250RX, 2019 to 2026
  • Material: Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy
  • Wide support for the boots during long sections ridden standing
  • For motocross, enduro and off-road use, per Accossato
  • Five colours: orange, blue, black, red, Titanium
  • Pair of pegs, left and right
  • No approval documents on file; competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes the part as enlarged footpegs made of Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy, for motocross, enduro and off-road bikes, and that is the extent of the manufacturer's information. In practice an enlarged peg supports more of the boot, which matters in a test where the rider stands almost continuously and moves around a great deal. The pegs come as a pair, one per side, and the variant is the colour: there are five, from orange to Titanium.

Against the Clock in the Special Test

Fast test riders stand wherever the ground is rough and sit only in turns and on smooth, fast sections. Standing lets them see further ahead, react to what the ground is doing and move the bike beneath them instead of being thrown about on the seat. It also means the footpegs carry the rider's weight for most of the test, often for minutes at a stretch, through braking, acceleration and every change of direction.

Walking the test beforehand, where the rules allow it, pays off. Riders look for the rough stretches where they will need to stand, for off-camber sections where the bike has to be held with the outside peg, and for the few places where they can sit and rest the legs for a moment. On the CRF250RX, which is light and quick to change direction, a rider who feels secure on the pegs can place the bike precisely in each turn. The broader platform supports the boot throughout, and a sure footing lets the rider think about the line rather than the feet.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the CRF250RX from 2019 to 2026, and we have linked the set to those years. There is no other Accossato footpeg for this model; the CRF250R and the CRF450RX share this pair. Before the first test, fold each peg up by hand and let it return, and check that the gear lever and brake pedal sit comfortably under your boots.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or approval certificate for these pegs, so we sell them for competition use, which suits a bike built for racing.
