DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's AGPA177EV2 puts the EV2 racing compound on the front pad listed for the Triumph Tiger 1200 XRX from 2018 to 2020. It is a pad for competition: hard, repeated stops at the end of a straight, with the rider aiming for the same marker every lap. On a large adventure tourer that is a specialist use, and the pad is meant only for an XRX on closed courses. For road riding, the Sintered version of AGPA177 is the one to choose.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA177 for the Triumph Tiger 1200 XRX, 2018 to 2020
  • EV2 racing compound, SKU AGPA177EV2
  • Accossato calls it a top racing compound
  • For hard braking markers lap after lap
  • Timed practice and qualifying
  • Closed-course use only
  • Also offered as ST, EV1 and ZXC
  • No test documents; for racing

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato places EV2 racing at the top of its competition range. The compound is made for the sustained high loads of timed sessions, not for the gentle and varied use of the road. As with all Accossato pads, the design aims at keeping heat under control against fading and at even wear over a meeting.

Hitting the Same Marker

On a closed course, consistency is everything. A rider who knows exactly how the front brake will respond can pick a braking marker and use it every lap, and that repeatability is what a racing compound is designed to support. For an XRX, which carries far more weight than a sports bike, the front brake is asked to do a lot in a short time. Prepare carefully: fresh fluid, clean discs, pads bedded in during the first laps. Watch lever travel from session to session.

When the Lever Changes

If the lever begins to come back further or feels softer, return to the pits, let the system cool and check fluid and pads before going out again.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the Tiger 1200 XRX, Accossato lists AGPA177 at the front from 2018 to 2020 and AGPA76 at the rear. One box covers one caliper, so check how many calipers your XRX has on the front wheel. Clean the pistons before retracting them and replace both sides together.

Road Approval

AGPA177EV2 has no German ABE and no test mark available to us. It is intended for racing only.

Scope of Delivery
