Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true. Öhlins machines brackets from billet so the bores stay true under clamping. Mounting hardware is specific to the machine and the unit it belongs to.

Original Öhlins Part

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 06222-02 in this case. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Housings carry bores for adjusters and seals; their concentricity decides whether the unit seals. Öhlins machines housings from solid billet rather than casting them.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06222-02

Category: Brackets

Finish: Grey

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06222-02_7259f938-8358-48a7-842d-af28d2dae551.png?v=1788875188
