DescriptionThe whole story▼
Engineered without compromise for the Ducati Panigale 1299 and 1299 S, the LighTech FTRDU014 rearset system brings genuine MotoGP, WSBK and Moto2 development directly to your track day or race weekend. Every detail — from the Ergal 7075-T6 aluminium construction to the GP-shift-only configuration — has been optimised for the rider who demands total mechanical fidelity at corner exit.
Key Features
- Developed in collaboration with leading MotoGP, WSBK and Moto2 teams for uncompromising track performance
- CNC-machined from a single billet of Ergal 7075-T6 high-strength aluminium for maximum rigidity and minimal weight
- Levers pivoted directly on the footpeg using oversized bearings, eliminating play and delivering razor-sharp, tactile shift feel under hard braking and aggressive acceleration
- Fixed GP-shift (reverse shift pattern) configuration purpose-built for racing conditions
- Ergonomic heel guards provide secure foot positioning and consistent leg alignment through fast corners
- Robust, high-load design built to withstand the harshest circuit environments race after race
Billet Construction and Racing Precision
The FTRDU014 is carved from solid Ergal 7075-T6, an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy prized for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to fatigue under repeated high-stress cycling. CNC machining from a single block eliminates the weak points inherent in cast or welded assemblies, giving race teams the structural confidence to push the Panigale 1299 to its absolute limit. The oversized bearing specification is a direct result of LighTech's collaboration with professional racing outfits — larger bearing surfaces mean reduced friction, consistent actuation force and a significantly longer service life under race conditions.
GP-Shift Configuration
This rearset assembly is configured exclusively for GP-shift (reverse shift pattern): first gear up, the remaining gears down. This is the standard shift direction used across MotoGP and World Superbike, and it suits the natural leg movement under hard braking into corners. There is no provision to convert the FTRDU014 to a standard street shift pattern. It is a dedicated track tool, not a dual-purpose accessory.
Please note: this rearset system is for track and racing use only. It carries no road homologation and is not TÜV certified. It must not be used on public roads.
