DescriptionThe whole story▼

The GSX-R 600 shares its right-hand switch architecture with the litre bike. The JP PD SU019 replaces it with a body machined from Ergal 7075, on a universal clamp pattern.

Key Features

  • Suzuki GSX-R 600 (2011–2017)
  • Universal hole pattern for either master cylinder
  • Full street control set
  • Black or titanium anodising
  • CNC-milled Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the original connector

The Supersport That Refused to Die

By 2011 the 600 class was already shrinking, and Suzuki updated the GSX-R 600 anyway: lighter, with Showa Big Piston forks and Brembo monoblocs. It stayed in production long after most of its rivals had been quietly discontinued, and it remains one of the most competent motorcycles in the class.

Where These Bikes Live Now

Supersport machines have largely migrated from the road to the circuit, and a GSX-R 600 in 2026 is more likely to be found on a trailer than in a garage. That use pattern is hard on cockpit components: pit lane operation in gloves, pressure washing after every session, and the occasional low-side.

Shared Architecture, Separate Motorcycle

This switch also fits the 750 and the 2009 to 2016 litre bike, which reflects how consistently Suzuki kept its handlebar interface across the GSX-R range. The motorcycles are quite different to ride; the connector behind the switch is not.

Universal Clamp Pattern

The plate accepts both aligned and offset master cylinder geometry. On a 600 prepared for racing, where a radial cylinder is close to standard equipment, that flexibility removes one incompatibility from the build.

Machined, Not Moulded

One block of Ergal 7075 with sealed switch elements inside. There is no clipped joint to develop play under vibration and no moulded seam for water to enter during a wet session.

Seven Model Years

The fitment runs from 2011 to 2017, which is the second-generation update with the Big Piston forks and the Brembo brakes. The earlier bike used a different arrangement and is not covered, so the registration year rather than the shape of the fairing settles it.
