DescriptionThe whole story▼
JP PDQ YA067 E is JetPrime's bronze-anodised switch for the Yamaha R9, the newest addition to Yamaha's sportsbike line, built for owners who have fitted a quick-action throttle. The block carries the right-hand controls that the shorter throttle travel pushes off the bar.
Key Features
- Yamaha R9 (2025–2026)
- Yamaha R9 (2025–2026)
- For quick-action throttle installations
- Bronze anodised Ergal 7075
- CNC-machined from solid
- Military-specification switch elements
- Pre-wired for the original connector
A New Model, an Early Upgrade Path
As one of Yamaha's newer sportsbikes, the R9 is still early in building up an aftermarket, and a quick-action throttle is among the first changes serious riders make. This switch was machined specifically to support that conversion from day one.
Giving the Displaced Controls a Home
Shortening the throttle's rotation clears space on the bar but takes the standard right-hand functions with it. This block sits in that freed-up area on the R9's handlebar, built to the bike's own dimensions rather than adapted from another model.
A Warm, Worked-In Bronze
The anodising runs through the Ergal's surface instead of coating over it, so the tone holds up to repeated glove contact without wearing thin. It is a deliberate colour rather than a stand-in finish. It is the same anodising process JetPrime uses across its range, chosen here for how well it resists fading.
Sealed Beyond What Road Riding Demands
Inside the switch, military-specification elements are rated for heat, moisture and vibration well past anything a road-registered R9 will generate on its own. That margin is what keeps the block reliable over time. A margin like that matters more over several seasons of ownership than it does in the first few months.
Plug-and-Play, Specific to This Fitment
The loom plugs directly into Yamaha's original connector, with no splicing on either side. The switch is machined only for the R9 and only functions alongside an already-installed JetPrime quick-action throttle. Fitting it without the throttle kit already in place leaves the connector with nothing on the other end.
