DescriptionThe whole story▼
Handcrafted in England from aerospace-grade titanium, the Austin Racing V3 Mini full exhaust system is one of the most purposeful performance upgrades available for the Aprilia RS 660. The natural titanium finish tells its own story — raw, heat-kissed and unmistakably race-bred — while the V3 Mini silencer design delivers a sound signature and weight saving that no stainless or carbon alternative can match.
Key Features
- Full titanium construction throughout header and silencer — exceptional strength-to-weight ratio with lasting corrosion resistance
- Choice of silencer length: compact 140 mm unit for maximum aggression (101–102 dB at 5,000 RPM) or 200 mm variant for noise-restricted circuits (95–96 dB at 5,000 RPM, DB-compliant)
- Individually configurable finish: natural titanium or black anodised silencer body, black or silver end cap, laser-engraved or colour laser-engraved Austin Racing logo
- Available as a full system with titanium header for plug-and-play installation, or as a slip-on for riders retaining the stock header
- ECU remapping strongly recommended — compatible with Aprilia UpMap; all maps developed and dyno-verified by master tuner Gabro on track and rolling road
- Track-use only — designed and built without road-homologation compromises
Design, Finish and Heritage
Austin Racing has been producing hand-built titanium exhaust systems in the UK for decades, supplying professional race teams and serious club racers alike. Every V3 Mini carries that lineage in its construction: TIG-welded titanium pipework, precision-formed collector and a silencer canister shaped for both aerodynamic clearance and visual impact on the Aprilia RS 660's compact twin-cylinder chassis.
The natural titanium finish develops its characteristic blue and gold heat patina over time, making each system genuinely unique. Those who prefer a more uniform, stealth aesthetic can specify the black anodised option, which pairs cleanly with the RS 660's factory bodywork. End cap colour and logo style can be selected at order stage, allowing a degree of personalisation rarely seen at this level of the market.
Silencer Options and Sound Levels
Two silencer lengths are available under the V3 Mini designation, each tuned to a distinct sound and noise-compliance profile. All figures were measured at 5,000 RPM under race conditions:
- Stock exhaust: 92–93 dB
- V3 Mini 140 mm: 101–102 dB — aggressive race note, unrestricted output
- V3 Mini 200 mm: 95–96 dB — DB-compliant, suitable for circuits with noise limits
Header and Configuration Options
The V3 Mini is offered in two configurations to suit different build goals. Ordering as a full system includes the titanium header section, delivering the complete performance and weight-saving benefit with a straightforward installation requiring no modification to the original pipework. Choosing the slip-on configuration retains the stock headers; note that if the box-delete option is selected with this configuration, the original header pipes will need to be cut. The full system avoids this step entirely.
ECU Tuning Recommendation
To extract the full benefit of the freer-flowing exhaust on the Aprilia RS 660, an ECU remap is strongly advised. Austin Racing recommends Aprilia UpMap, which provides access to an extensive library of professionally developed maps. All maps in the database have been refined by ECU master tuner Gabro on both the dynamometer and live track sessions, ensuring optimal throttle response, clean fuelling and the best possible power delivery across the rev range.
Fitment and Compatibility
This exhaust system is designed and tested specifically for the following motorcycle:
- Aprilia RS 660 — model years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026
This product is intended exclusively for closed-circuit track use. It is not road-legal and must not be used on public roads.
