DescriptionThe whole story▼

Most Kawasaki Versys 650s from 2016 onward share a rear pad shape with several other Kawasakis. Accossato's AGPP88 in the Organic mixture is catalogued for the KLE 650 Versys, with and without ABS, from 2016 to 2026. It suits riders who treat their Versys 650 as a daily tool, riding through town, across speed bumps and into tight parking spaces, and who want a quiet rear brake with a soft take-up that looks after the disc over many years.

Key Features

  • AGPP88 rear pads for the Kawasaki Versys 650, 2016 to 2026
  • Organic mixture, article AGPP88OR
  • Accossato: durable performance, limited disc wear
  • Gentle, predictable pedal feel
  • Quiet during slow, repeated use
  • Good match for learner and commuter riders
  • Same plate also comes as ST
  • No German approval on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says this compound performs for a long time and restricts wear on the disc. A rear brake on a commuter rarely sees hard stops, but it is touched constantly, so gentle treatment of the rotor adds up. The firm further states that its pads resist fade by limiting heat and that they stop powerfully. The Organic layer is bonded to the AGPP88 plate.

Daily Miles on a Versys 650

Riders who ride every day learn to use the rear brake for balance: a light touch in slow traffic, a little drag in a tight U-turn, a hold at a junction on a hill. The Organic pad suits this style well, taking up smoothly and staying quiet. On a Versys 650 used for commuting, it makes the slow parts of the day easier.

The rear caliper sits close to the chain and the road spray, so it gets dirty quickly. Clean the pistons before pushing them back when changing pads, and check pad depth each time you adjust the chain.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato catalogues AGPP88 for the rear of the KLE 650 Versys and its ABS version from 2016 to 2026; our garage shows these as the Kawasaki Versys 650, Tourer and Grand Tourer. Bikes from 2015 to 2016 may instead use AGPP185, so a 2016 model is worth checking by comparing the old pad. The front pad is AGPA72. One box fills the single rear caliper.

Road Approval

AGPP88OR has no ABE or approval document in our possession and is sold for racing purposes.

Scope of Delivery

Two Organic rear pads for one caliper.
