DescriptionThe whole story▼
In club racing, many places are won or lost before the first corner. A good start on a Daytona 675 R depends on holding the revs steady and feeding the clutch out smoothly while keeping the front wheel down, and that means knowing precisely where the clutch bites. Accossato's EST333 clutch lever for the 2011 to 2017 Daytona 675 R is machined from aluminium and adjustable for reach, so the friction point sits where your fingers control it most finely.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Triumph Daytona 675 R, 2011 to 2017
- Mounts at the original clutch mounting
- Reach to the grip adjustable
- Machined aluminium, anodised
- Black hub; blade in black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver or green
- Short, standard (approximately 138 mm) or long blade, depending on colour
- One fixed piece, no folding joint
Construction and Material Quality
The EST333 is milled from aluminium and anodised in Accossato's two-tone finish: a black hub that carries the pivot and reach adjuster, and a coloured blade. There is no joint along its length, so the lever is stiff and the friction point does not wander, a quality you appreciate when the lights go out. The machined surface gives a consistent feel under a race glove, and the anodised finish is hard enough to keep its colour through a season of paddock life.
Getting Off the Line
A race start is a controlled slip of the clutch at high revs. Let it out too abruptly and the bike bogs down or lifts its front wheel; slip it too long and the launch is wasted. Riders rehearse it at practice starts until the movement is automatic, and the lever position is part of that routine. Set the reach so that the bite point comes with the fingers slightly curled rather than fully extended, because the hand is strongest and most precise in that range. Blade length changes the feel. The long blade, available in gold, orange, green and blue, gives the most leverage and the lightest pull, useful if you have to hold the clutch in on the grid for a while. The short blade is firmer but more compact. Whatever you choose, practise with the set-up you will race with, and do not change it on race day.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EST333 for the Daytona 675 R from 2011 to 2017. The same clutch lever is also listed for the standard Daytona 675, which suggests the clutch mounting is shared between the two versions. It replaces the stock lever at the original clutch mounting; if your 675 R has been converted for racing with different controls, compare the mounting with the product photos. For the brake side of the R, Accossato lists the EDF099 for the same years.
Road Approval
Because no German ABE is documented for the EST333, it is sold strictly for track use.
