Once a hard season has earned it, the element gets a wash instead — lukewarm water, a little mild detergent, rinsing until the water runs clear. Then it dries, in open air only, since heat and flame ruin the medium. The SM219S is refitted dry, and the P08 has no oiling step to forget.
