DescriptionThe whole story▼
The OZ Cattiva magnesium front wheel delivers a genuine, measurable upgrade for Ducati Panigale 1199, 1199 R, and 1199 S riders who want real-world performance gains without unnecessary complexity. Forged from premium magnesium and conceived by the OZ SBK Racing division, this six-spoke wheel is the lightest front wheel in the entire OZ catalogue — reducing rotating mass where it matters most and translating directly into sharper turn-in and more responsive handling every time you ride.
Key Features
- Forged magnesium construction — the lightest front wheel OZ produces, cutting unsprung and rotating mass for noticeably improved agility
- Six-spoke Cattiva design developed by the OZ SBK Racing department for an optimised balance of weight reduction, stiffness, and lateral stability
- Reduced rotating mass means faster acceleration response, sharper braking feel, and more precise cornering at all speeds
- Ships with high-quality bearings, aluminium angled valves, and spacers where required — everything needed for a complete, precise fitment
- Made in Italy to the exacting manufacturing standards OZ applies to their motorsport programme
Built Around the Panigale 1199 Platform
The Cattiva is not a universal wheel adapted to fit — it is engineered specifically for the Ducati Panigale 1199 series. Every dimension, bearing seat, and disc flange is matched to the 1199 platform so fitment is clean and accurate. The wheel is track-focused by design: the reduction in rotating mass directly lowers the gyroscopic forces the front end must overcome, making the motorcycle feel more responsive to steering inputs and easier to flick through direction changes.
The forged magnesium material brings a strength-to-weight ratio that cast aluminium cannot match at equivalent dimensions. Forging aligns the grain structure of the metal, producing a wheel that is both lighter and more resistant to the stresses generated under hard braking and high-speed cornering — conditions the Panigale 1199 encounters regularly on circuit.
