How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

The same angular Trax architecture, rendered in the colour that has meant fast motorcycles for a hundred years. Red across the crown and spoiler, white cutting through it, carbon showing underneath — the most classically sporting of the eight.
The LS2 FF807 Dragon is a full-face sport-touring helmet built entirely from 6K carbon fibre, weighing roughly 1,450 g (±50 g) and carrying a drop-down internal sun visor — a combination that is rare at this weight. It is homologated to ECE 22.06 and rated 4 stars by SHARP, the UK government's independent helmet-testing programme.
Key Features
- Full 6K carbon shell — approx. 1,450 g (±50 g), in three shell sizes across 2XS–3XL
- ECE 22.06 homologation · 4-star SHARP safety rating
- Twin Visor System — integrated drop-down sun visor plus the main visor
- Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert included, plus a second tinted visor in the box
- Tool-free quick-release visor change with a visor button lock
- Double D-ring on a reinforced strap · Emergency Release System · multi-density EPS
- Carbon chin, top and exhaust vents feeding channelled EPS, plus a breath deflector
- X-Static® silver antibacterial liner — removable, washable, laser-cut
- Prepared for the new LS2 Bluetooth intercom · reflective safety patch
Shell and Safety
The Dragon is built entirely from 6K carbon fibre — not a carbon-look overlay on a composite shell, but a full carbon monocoque, which is how LS2 gets a full-face helmet with an integrated sun visor down to roughly 1,450 g (±50 g). Inside sits a multi-density EPS liner: firmer where an impact needs to be slowed hard, softer where it needs to be absorbed progressively, rather than one compromise density throughout. Three shell sizes cover the range from 2XS to 3XL, so a small head gets a small shell instead of a large one packed out with foam. The Dragon carries ECE 22.06 homologation and holds a 4-star SHARP safety rating.
Twin Visor System and Optics
Vision is where the Dragon earns its keep on long days. The Twin Visor System pairs the main visor with an integrated sun visor you drop with a single slider and retract fully into the shell when you are done — no stopping, no swapping, no sunglasses under the helmet. The main visor is treated against scratches and UV, locks shut with a button catch, and releases from its mechanism without tools. Two things ship in the box that usually cost extra: a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ anti-fog insert and a complete second visor in a tint.
Ventilation
Intakes at the chin and crown, both capped in carbon, push air into ventilation channels formed in the EPS; the carbon exhaust port at the back pulls it out again. It is a through-flow design rather than a set of decorative scoops. Fogging is tackled from two directions at once — the included Pinlock 120 on the visor, and a breath deflector that redirects your breath downwards before it reaches the screen.
An Honest Word Before You Buy
Worth stating plainly. The Dragon's approval is ECE 22.06, road use — it is not FIM homologated, so it is not a helmet for FIM-sanctioned competition (the FF805 Thunder GP Pro FIM is the one for that). And the tinted visor included in the box is a daylight accessory: across most European jurisdictions tinted visors may not be used at night or in poor visibility. Both are ordinary limits for a helmet of this type, but you should know them before ordering rather than after.
Fit, Interior and Comfort
The Dragon is officially an intermediate oval — the shape that suits the majority of European heads. The lining is hypoallergenic and antibacterial, woven with X-Static® silver fibre, which suppresses the bacteria that cause helmet odour rather than masking it. It is fully removable and washable, breathable, and the pads are laser-cut so they sit flat against the head without the bunching thicker die-cut foam produces. Riders report a close, enveloping fit with a high neck roll — snug from new, settling in as the foam beds down.
Retention and Emergency Access
Retention is by double D-ring on a reinforced strap. It takes a moment longer to fasten than a ratchet, and in exchange it holds its tension exactly where you set it. Behind the cheek pads sits the Emergency Release System — coloured tabs that let paramedics withdraw the pads and lift the helmet clear with minimal movement of the head and neck. LS2 also applies a reflective safety patch to the shell for night-time visibility.
Intercom Ready
LS2 builds the Dragon ready for its new Bluetooth intercom. The speaker recesses and cable runs are part of the liner from the factory, which keeps the installation tidy and — more to the point — keeps the speakers off your ears at the pressure points that cause trouble on long days.
The Trax Gloss Red finish
Bright red blocks run over the exposed carbon with white slashes breaking them up, all under a high-gloss lacquer. Red remains the most legible colour on a helmet at distance, which is a small practical bonus on top of the obvious visual one. Against a red or black bike it looks deliberate; against anything else it simply looks quick.
Finding Your Size
The Dragon runs from 2XS to 3XL across three shell sizes (2XS–S / M–L / XL–3XL). Measure your head circumference with a soft tape roughly 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, around the widest part of the skull, and compare it against the size chart linked on this page. Between two sizes, take the larger one — the Dragon fits close from new and the padding beds down with use.
Approved Use
The LS2 FF807 Dragon is a unisex full-face helmet homologated to ECE 22.06 and road-legal throughout ECE markets. It is intended for sport, sport-touring and everyday road riding. The clear main visor is the road-legal screen; the supplied tinted visor is for daylight use.
