DescriptionThe whole story▼
A 150 SX pulled apart for its winter service usually shows the swingarm with more wear than the rider expected, a dull groove worn by months of the chain dragging across bare metal every time the suspension compresses. Accossato builds the GPM1 for the 150 SX from 2010 to 2015, a slider that sits along the swingarm so the chain runs across a replaceable surface instead of wearing into the arm itself.
Key Features
- Swingarm chain slider for the KTM 150 SX, 2010 to 2015
- Accossato code GPM1, fitted along the top of the swingarm
- Chain runs over the slider rather than directly on the swingarm
- Orange, blue or black
- Also listed for the Husqvarna FE 250 and FE 450
- Pairs with Accossato's GCM1 chain guide and GSM1 floating slider for this bike
- No German ABE on file; for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The GPM1 is shaped to sit flush along the stretch of swingarm the chain actually crosses on the 150 SX, rather than being cut to a generic length and left to overhang either end. Its whole purpose is to take the wear the swingarm would otherwise absorb, so the surface is expected to show use over time while the arm underneath stays as it was. Riders can choose orange, blue or black to suit the rest of the bike's colours, and a slider that has worn through to a thin edge is worth swapping before the chain starts cutting into the metal beneath.
What a Winter Tear-Down Reveals
Stripping the bike down over the off-season, rather than just hosing it off after the last ride of the year, is when most owners actually see how much the swingarm has taken from months of chain contact, because the area sits hidden under the chain guard during normal riding. A groove that was barely visible in September can look surprisingly deep by the time the bike comes apart in December, especially after a season spent mostly on loose, gritty tracks. Fitting a slider at this point in the service, rather than waiting for the arm itself to show damage, turns an unplanned repair into a routine part swap. It is one of the easiest jobs to do while the swingarm is already off the bike for other winter work.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the GPM1, Accossato's own application list stops at 2015, a narrower window than the 2020 cut-off on the matching chain guide for this same 150 SX, which is worth noticing before ordering rather than assuming every chain part for the bike covers the identical years. The slider carries over to a group of Husqvarna four-strokes built on the shared platform, the FE 250 and FE 450 among them, so those owners can fit the same part. Because the fitment window is shorter here than elsewhere in the range, checking the frame's actual build year against the list matters more for the GPM1 than for some of its companions. A full chain-line refresh on this bike can add the GCM1 guide, the GSM1 floating slider and either axle block alongside it.
Road Approval
Accossato has no German ABE on file for the GPM1, so the slider is intended for off-road and competition riding rather than for use on public roads.
