DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where Accossato's other two axle blocks for the RM-Z 450 both add an adjusting screw, the RTSU1 stands apart as the stock-style option, and it comes in the broadest colour choice of the three, stretching to green alongside the more familiar black, silver and gold. It covers the RM-Z 450 built between 2006 and 2017, setting chain tension the way the bike left the factory.
Key Features
- Rear axle blocks for the Suzuki RM-Z 450, 2006 to 2017
- Accossato code RTSU1, one pair, left and right
- Chain tension set the stock way, with no built-in adjusting screw
- Green, black, silver or gold
- Accossato's RCSU1 and RCY1 cover the same bike with an adjusting screw, in different colour ranges
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The RTSU1 pair sits in the same position as the stock blocks, leaving chain tension to the usual nut and marks on the swingarm. Green, black, silver and gold make up the four finishes on offer here, a wider spread than Accossato gives the adjusting-screw versions of this same part. A block that has cracked or sits visibly out of true after hard use is worth replacing rather than left in place.
The Widest Colour Choice of the Three
Of the three axle block options Accossato lists for the RM-Z 450, the RTSU1 is the only one offered in green, which makes it worth a look even for a rider who was leaning toward an adjusting screw, simply because the colour range differs so much between the three parts. Choosing a block ultimately comes down to balancing the preferred adjustment method against the available finishes, and for some owners the green option on the RTSU1 settles that choice on its own.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's own list runs the RTSU1 against the RM-Z 450 from 2006 to 2017. The same bike also takes the RCSU1, in black, silver or gold, and the RCY1, in blue, black or silver, both with a built-in adjusting screw where the RTSU1 has none. Checking the exact frame year against the list is still worth doing before ordering.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the RTSU1, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
