DescriptionThe whole story▼
Winter does not stop keen enduro riders; it just changes the ground. On a cold morning a Husqvarna TE 250 sets off across trails that are hard with frost, with roots and stones glazed and slippery, and by midday the thaw can turn the same track into greasy mud. Cold hands and feet, stiff boots and short daylight add to the challenge, and the rider has to adapt from hour to hour. For the 2017 and 2018 TE 250 there are enlarged Accossato footpegs made of Ergal, in orange or black.

Construction and Material Quality
Enlarged footpegs made of Ergal, for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles: that is how Accossato describes the FR798, and it adds nothing more. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy. The enlarged size gives the sole of the boot a larger surface, which is welcome when cold, stiff boots have less feel than usual. The set comprises one peg for each side, and for the TE 250 of 2017 and 2018 the colours are orange and black.
Frost in the Morning, Mud by Noon
Frozen ground is deceptive. It feels solid, but its surface can be as slippery as ice, particularly on roots, rocks and wooden bridges, and shaded sections stay frozen long after the sunny ones have thawed. Riders go gently on the throttle, avoid sudden braking and stand wherever the surface is uncertain, so that the bike can move under them if a tyre slides. As the day warms up, the top layer melts over still-frozen ground and becomes greasy, which is often the most treacherous moment of all on the TE 250.
Keeping warm matters for safety as much as comfort. Cold feet lose sensitivity, and a rider who cannot feel the pegs or the gear lever properly makes more mistakes; thin thermal socks that do not cramp the boots and regular breaks both help. Broad pegs give stiff winter boots a secure platform. At the end of the ride, wash the salt and mud off the bike, dry the peg pivots and give them a little fresh grease, since winter grime is hard on moving parts.
Fitment and Compatibility
In our shop the FR798 is linked to the TE 250 of 2017 and 2018. Accossato's own list for this set runs on beyond 2018, so if your TE 250 is a later one, please ask us before ordering. For the TE 250 of 2014 to 2016 Accossato lists the FR795 instead. Compare the photos and colours of both sets and check your model year first. The same FR798 is also listed with us for the GasGas EC 300, the GasGas MC 250F and the Husqvarna FE 350.
Road Approval
No ABE, and no other approval either, is available to us for these footpegs; they are intended for competition.
