DescriptionThe whole story▼

Stepping up from the 675 to the 800 brings noticeably more torque to the Brutale's character, and that extra pull makes an enthusiastic throttle hand more likely to lift the front wheel further than intended, with the inevitable comedown landing hard at low speed rather than mid-corner. For the Brutale 800 built between 2013 and 2016, Accossato's PF034 front axle sliders are there for exactly that moment, whatever the particular circumstances behind the front wheel coming back down hard again.

Key Features

  • Front axle sliders for the MV Agusta Brutale 800, 2013 to 2016
  • Accossato part PF034, one protector for each side of the front wheel
  • Aluminium combined with plastic, finished in black
  • Spacers, screws and further mounting parts in the kit, as stated by Accossato
  • Meant to touch down first if the front end comes down hard at low speed
  • Pairs with the TP026 fairing crash pads for the same Brutale 800
  • Same PF034 part also listed for several other MV Agusta models
  • No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Black is the finish on both PF034 protectors, each one machined from aluminium and plastic and destined for one side of the front axle. Spacers, screws and the remaining mounting parts Accossato deems necessary travel together in the same kit. Precisely how the sliders locate on this MV Agusta's fork isn't set out in the material supplied to us, so no thread sizes or clearances are claimed here.

More Torque, More Temptation

The Brutale 800's extra displacement over the 675 doesn't just add outright speed; it adds low-down pull that makes lifting the front wheel noticeably easier, intentionally or otherwise, and a wheel that comes back down awkwardly at low speed can still put the bike on its side even without any real drama involved. Sliders don't discourage that kind of riding, but they do give the fork leg something disposable to absorb the landing if it goes wrong.

Fitment and Compatibility

This PF034 covers the Brutale 800 across 2013 to 2016 specifically, so check your exact year before ordering rather than assuming every Brutale badge is identical underneath. The smaller Brutale 675, the sharper Brutale 800 RR and the related F3 800 all share this identical front axle, a sign of how much running gear MV Agusta carried across its naked and supersport ranges.

Road Approval

Accossato supplies no German ABE or equivalent approval paperwork for the PF034, so we list this pair for racing and competition use on the Brutale 800 rather than for everyday road riding.

Scope of Delivery
