DescriptionThe whole story▼
Before Yamaha simplified the name to Tracer 900, this long-distance-oriented MT-09 derivative was sold for two years as the MT-09 Tracer, and this Accossato kit covers that original ABS-equipped bike with six braided hoses following the factory's Standard-layout routing. As the first version of what became a long-running nameplate, this bike's brake circuit differs slightly in hose count from the later Tracer 900 generations that followed it. Being the first version of the platform, this bike is now old enough that its original hoses are well past the point where they still deliver a crisp, consistent lever.
Key Features
- Six-hose set for the ABS-equipped 2015–2016 MT-09 Tracer
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Stainless steel fittings, the only finish offered for this part
- Keeps the factory Standard-layout routing
- Every hose in the kit finished to the same specification
Construction and Material Quality
Each of the six hoses pairs a stainless braid sheath with fittings made from stainless steel, supplied only bare on this part. The twenty-colour braid range still offers a wide choice of finish for an owner of this earlier, now slightly uncommon version of the bike.
The First of the Range
Yamaha's later revisions to this platform changed the brake routing enough that the hose count moved from six on this original bike to seven on the 2017–2020 Tracer 900 and down to five on the final 2023 version; this kit matches the specific routing of the 2015–2016 original.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits the Yamaha MT-09 Tracer built in 2015 and 2016. For the later Tracer 900 and GT built between 2017 and 2020, Accossato lists a seven-hose kit, part AGF9019, and for the final 2023 Tracer 900, a five-hose kit, part AGA0241. Parts for this early version are less commonly stocked than for the later Tracer 900, so confirming availability before planning a fitting date is worthwhile, particularly if the work is booked in alongside other servicing on a tight schedule.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 6 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
