DescriptionThe whole story▼

The CY042 is Accossato's 19x18 radial brake master cylinder with a forged and painted body, and this listing is the black painted version. The 19 mm piston is sized for dual-disc front brakes, and the 18 mm pivot is a distance Accossato rates for track use while also recommending it for the road. Instead of the folding or fixed levers used on the unpainted range, this cylinder is fitted with a black Revolution lever, whose reach can be changed by adding or removing inserts.

Key Features

  • 19 mm piston diameter for dual-disc front brake systems
  • 18 mm lever pivot, for track use and also suited to the road
  • Revolution lever in black, length adjustable by adding or removing inserts
  • Forged and painted body in black
  • CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
  • Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals in Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato forges this body in aluminium and then paints it black, a different finishing route to the natural anodised or nickel-plated bodies used on other versions of this cylinder. Stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals go into the assembly regardless of body finish. An offset riser is built into the clamp to resist flexing under hard braking, and the bore is shaped so the lever's passive travel is reduced by more than half against an ordinary radial master cylinder.

Revolution Lever, Adjustable Reach

The Revolution lever fitted here works differently to the folding or fixed levers used elsewhere in Accossato's range: its length can be changed by adding or removing inserts at the pivot end, letting the rider bring the lever closer to the bar or push it further out without buying a separate short or long version. The lever stays black regardless of the colour chosen for the body. Because the lever length is set with inserts rather than a choice of parts, every CY042 ships as a single SKU per colour, with no separate long or short listing.

Fitment and Compatibility

65 motorcycles are confirmed for the CY042, including the Aprilia RSV4 R, BMW S1000RR, Ducati Panigale V4, Kawasaki ZX-10R and Suzuki GSX-S1000; the Fitment tab lists the complete range with model years. The same 19x18 cylinder with the Revolution lever is also sold in blue, green, red, silver and fluorescent yellow painted bodies as separate products.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 19x18 radial brake master cylinder with the black Revolution lever, in the black painted body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included and are bought separately.
