Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Kawasaki Z650RS (2022–2026) PM163S

The Z650RS was designed to be looked at, and its owners tend to agree — which rules out most of the usual modifications. An exposed cone filter changes the silhouette, the noise and the paperwork; a louder exhaust changes the character the bike was bought for. The Sprint Filter P08 PM163S changes none of it. It goes inside the standard airbox, behind the standard covers, and the motorcycle looks exactly as it did before. The only thing that changes is what the engine pulls its air through: woven polyester at a low, stable restriction instead of a paper element that is at its best on the day it is fitted.

The small openings, where a retro bike lives

This is not a motorcycle ridden at full throttle very often. It is ridden at a third of it, through towns and along back roads, where the whole experience is how cleanly the engine picks up from a small opening and how predictably it rolls on out of a corner. Peak power is beside the point, and no plug-in filter would raise it meaningfully anyway. Stable intake restriction, though, is exactly what makes those small openings behave the same in year five as in year one — and a washable element is how the restriction stays stable.

Nothing visible, nothing undone

Because the change is entirely internal, it is also entirely reversible and entirely neutral: no remap, no modification to the airbox, no effect on the bike's homologation, nothing to declare and nothing that dates the machine. For an owner who intends to keep a Z650RS standard and keep it for a long time, that combination is the point. The element is designed to last the life of the motorcycle, and warranted for two years from the date of purchase.

Care and cleaning

The service is short. Compressed air from the clean side, working outwards, and the element is back where it started. After a dirty season, lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinsed until the water runs clear.
