Öhlins anodises housings for corrosion resistance rather than for looks. Housings carry bores for adjusters and seals; their concentricity decides whether the unit seals. Clamps have a specified torque; over-tightening distorts the bore they hold.

Original Öhlins Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 04750-18 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 47 mm, dimension b 6 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Housings carry bores for adjusters and seals; their concentricity decides whether the unit seals. A cracked bracket is a safety matter, not a cosmetic one.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04750-18

Category: Housings

Dimension A: 47 mm

Dimension B: 6 mm

Thread: M47

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04750-18_9a69a4a8-3f2b-4b42-a4e0-41780fd795f2.png?v=1788873064
