Length here is the working length, not the overall dimension, which is why two similar tubes are not interchangeable.

Key Features

Diameter 36 mm

Length 177 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 00300-01

Function

Öhlins gives it as 36 mm, 177 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Surface finish is specified in microns, because it decides how quickly the piston band wears. Öhlins matches tube and piston as a pair during assembly, which is why the part numbers are specific. A tube that has been bottomed hard often shows a ring mark; that is a reason to replace it.

Original Öhlins Part

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

How to Be Sure It Fits

00300-01 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins states diameter 36 mm, length 177 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins hones its tubes to a defined surface finish rather than simply to a diameter. Wall thickness and bore finish are what let a cylinder hold pressure without deforming under load.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00300-01

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 36 mm

Length: 177 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00300-01_cd65582d-64d4-4268-af12-987643cc4179.png?v=1788869040
