DescriptionThe whole story▼
The first-generation Streetfighter V4 wears its bodywork in deliberately small pieces, and the left lower fairing is the panel that runs from the radiator down towards the engine case. It follows the line of the frame rather than covering it, which is the design idea of the whole motorcycle expressed in a single component.
Key Features
- Left-hand lower fairing panel, direct replacement for the original
- Four configurations in 200 Plain weave: clear coat, matt, satin and raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate along a long, narrow and repeatedly curved edge
- Original mounting points and fasteners
- Raw carbon is the lightest and least expensive of the four
Long Edges Are Harder Than Big Faces
This panel is not large, but it is long and thin, and that is a more demanding shape for a laminate than a broad flat one. A narrow part has little material to resist twist, so the whole length has to come out of the mould straight or it will not sit down on all its fixings at once.
The practical test on arrival is to offer it up before tightening anything. A well-made panel touches every mounting point with no fastener fitted. One that needs to be pulled into place will put that load into the laminate for as long as it is on the motorcycle.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati Streetfighter V4, model years 2020 to 2024, left-hand side. The right-hand panel is a separate article. Neither fits the 2025 Streetfighter V4.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as a replacement body panel and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
One Weave, Four Finishes
This article is made in 200 Plain only, which simplifies the decision to the lacquer. Clear coat shows the chequer at its sharpest and suits a motorcycle where the carbon is meant to be noticed from across a car park.
Matt turns the panel into a dark structural line and lets the frame behind it do the talking, which is the more subtle reading of the same motorcycle. Satin is the middle. Raw is the cheapest and the most textured, and on a narrow panel low down it is closer to matt than to gloss in the way it reads.
