DescriptionThe whole story▼

Landing hard out of a whoops section is one of the more punishing moments a motocross bike goes through in a single lap, and on the two-stroke TC 250 the rear wheel often lands slightly off-line after a string of jumps, catching whatever lies just beyond the last whoop at an awkward angle. The rear disc is directly exposed to that kind of landing. For the TC 250 built from 2014 to 2020, Accossato's PDP01N guard is built with that repeated hard landing in mind.

Key Features

  • Rear brake disc guard for the Husqvarna TC 250, 2014 to 2020
  • Accossato part PDP01N, described by Accossato as standard protection for the rear disc
  • One guard in the pack, fitted over the rear brake disc area
  • Meant to shield the disc from hard landings, stones and loose ground
  • No material, thickness or fixings specified by Accossato for this guard
  • Also listed in our shop for several other Husqvarna models and the KTM 125EXC
  • No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's description of the PDP01N stops at standard protection for the rear disc, naming no material, thickness or fixing method, and this listing doesn't add detail beyond that. One guard comes in the pack, shaped to sit over the TC 250's rear disc and absorb the jolt of a hard, slightly off-line landing rather than let the disc take that impact on its own.

Whoops Sections and Hard Landings

A rhythm section done well looks smooth, but a rhythm section done slightly wrong, which happens to every rider at some point in a race, usually ends with the rear wheel landing at an angle rather than square. On the TC 250, where that landing can come with real force behind it, a disc guard takes the brunt of the impact against whatever ground the wheel finds, rather than leaving the disc to absorb a jolt it was never designed to withstand alone.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's list places the TC 250 in the same 2014 to 2020 window as the rest of Husqvarna's two-stroke motocross range, so confirm your exact year before ordering. The smaller TC 125 takes this identical PDP01N guard, a sign that Husqvarna's two-stroke motocross pairing shares its rear brake mounting regardless of engine size, and the related KTM 125EXC, built on similar running gear, fits the same part as well.

Road Approval

Accossato supplies no German ABE or similar approval document for the PDP01N, so we list this guard for racing and competition use on the TC 250 rather than for road use.

Scope of Delivery

One rear brake disc guard for the TC 250, as described by Accossato; no further fixings or hardware are stated as included.
