DescriptionThe whole story▼

Every enduro rider knows the riverbed: a dry or half-flooded channel of round stones, each ready to roll away under a tyre or a boot. A Beta RR 300 2T will pull at low revs through almost anything in there. What decides the section is the rider's feet, and whether they stay on the pegs or keep dropping down to paddle. Accossato's enlarged footpegs in Ergal are listed for the RR 300 2T of 2020 to 2026 and come in orange, blue or black.

Key Features

  • Accossato footpegs, enlarged, for the Beta RR 300 2T of 2020 to 2026
  • Ergal: a high-strength aluminium alloy
  • Bigger platform for boots on loose, uneven ground
  • Accossato's intended use: motocross, enduro, off-road
  • Three colours: orange, blue, black
  • Left and right peg in the set
  • No test or approval documents; competition use

Construction and Material Quality

In Accossato's words, these are pedane maggiorate: footpegs made larger than usual and produced in Ergal for motocross, enduro and off-road bikes. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy, and the manufacturer lists nothing further about the part. The extra size is aimed at the boot, which gets a wider platform whenever it carries the rider's weight. There are two pegs in the set, one for each side of the RR 300 2T, and three colours to choose from: orange, blue and black.

Feet Up in the Riverbed

Putting a foot down feels safe on loose stones, but it rarely is. A boot planted on a round rock can slip, twist an ankle or get trapped between two stones while the bike keeps rolling. Trainers therefore teach riders to stay standing with their feet on the pegs for as long as possible, using small movements of the hips and knees to keep the bike balanced. The motorcycle is allowed to wander a little; the rider absorbs it.

A few details make that easier on the RR 300 2T. Choose a line over the flattest stones and hold a steady, low throttle rather than giving bursts of power. Use the clutch to smooth the drive, and keep the eyes on the next stretch of the channel instead of the stone under the front wheel. When a foot does have to come off, dab briefly and bring it straight back. Wider pegs help here as well, since a returning boot finds a larger surface waiting for it, even with water and grit on the sole.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the set for the RR 300 2T from 2020 to 2026, and those are the years we have entered for it. It is the only Accossato footpeg for this model, and the same pair is also listed for the RR 250 2T and the RR 480 4T. Check the original springs before reusing them: a tired spring lets the peg hang instead of returning, and that is easily overlooked until a boot catches on it.

Road Approval

We have no ABE, test report or other approval for these footpegs, and they are offered for use in competition.
