DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Husqvarna FE 501 is the largest of the FE enduros, and a surprising number of them spend their weekdays in town, carrying their owners to work before heading for the trails at the weekend. For that mixed life on the 2014 to 2023 FE 501, Accossato offers this front pad in the Organic (OR) compound. It is the quiet, disc-friendly option for frequent stops in traffic, and the box holds the pair for the front caliper.

Key Features

  • Organic (OR) front pads for the Husqvarna FE 501, 2014 to 2023
  • Quiet braking in stop-and-go city riding
  • Keeps disc wear low over many small stops
  • Friendly response on a cold disc
  • Two pads per box, one set for one caliper
  • Rear pad AGPP80 and discs DK017 and DK018 listed for this bike

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato states that its organic mix provides longer-lasting performance and limits wear on the disc. That suits a big single used for short journeys, where the brake is applied dozens of times without ever getting very hot. The Italian maker adds that its pads are designed for low wear, limited heat and so reduced fade, and high braking force.

A Big Single in Town

City traffic on an FE 501 means lots of short, light brake applications, often with a cold disc and sometimes in the rain. An organic pad keeps that quiet and smooth, without the harsh bite that can make a tall enduro feel nervous at walking pace. Road grime and brake dust build up quickly in town, so clean the caliper now and then and check the pads when the wheel comes out for a tyre change. For a pad swap, clean the pistons before pushing them in, keep the disc grease-free and pump the lever until it is firm before the first ride. For weekends in heavy mud, the same pad also exists in ST, STMX and EV1.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA29 in the OR compound for the front of the Husqvarna FE 501 from 2014 to 2023. The FE 501 has a single front disc, so one box normally covers the front; check the fork if the bike has been modified. The rear caliper of the FE 501 takes Accossato's AGPP80, and the discs DK017 and DK018 are listed for the model.

Road Approval

As no approval papers (ABE or test mark) exist for us to show, these pads are sold for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
