DescriptionThe whole story▼

Take the cases off a Yamaha Tracer 7 GT and it becomes a light, eager twin that is great fun on a winding road. Owners who enjoy a solo blast at the weekend, or a sports-touring track day, can pick Accossato front pad AGPA97 in the EV1 street/track compound. Accossato lists AGPA97 for the Tracer 7 GT from 2021 to 2026. EV1 is designed for a firmer, more direct bite than the everyday and touring compounds.

Key Features

  • AGPA97 front pad in EV1 street/track compound
  • Listed for the Yamaha Tracer 7 GT, 2021-2026
  • Accossato: excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use
  • Direct bite for solo rides on twisting roads
  • Suits an occasional track day
  • Two pads per box, one caliper
  • Also available as OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes EV1 as a compound with excellent grip for road riding and amateur circuit use. It is the middle step of the range, sitting between the everyday mixes and the race compounds. The company's general claims, a long service life, less fade thanks to limited heat and strong stopping, are included as Accossato's words; we have no measurements of our own.

Cases Off, Sunday Morning

Without luggage, a Tracer 7 GT sheds weight and feels like a different bike. On a favourite loop of bends, the rider brakes later and harder, and a pad with a crisp initial response makes it easier to judge each corner entry. EV1 is intended for that, and it will cope with the repeated stops of a track day. When the cases go back on for a two-up tour in changeable weather, ST is the more consistent compound.

Ready for a Fast Ride

Bed the pads in thoroughly before any spirited riding, check the fluid level and colour, and inspect the discs for grooves or a raised lip at the edge.

Fitment and Compatibility

With side cases fitted and a passenger on board, the GT asks more of its front brake than the plain Tracer 7, and that is the load this compound is meant to carry. Accossato lists AGPA97 for the TRACER 7 700 GT from 2021 to 2026. With two front calipers, the GT needs two boxes. Accossato's rear pad for the GT is AGPP88, for 2021 to 2024.

Road Approval

AGPA97EV1 has no ABE, and we hold no test papers for it, so it is sold for circuit and competition riding.

Scope of Delivery
