DescriptionThe whole story▼
Finding a front sprocket that drops straight on without fuss and then disappears into the background of every ride is what the Sitta A001 is all about. Machined from chrome-molybdenum steel and engineered to sit flush against the output shaft of the MV Agusta F3 675 and F3 800, it delivers consistent, smooth power transfer from the first kilometre to the last — whether that means a track day or a long sporting road ride.
Key Features
- Chrome-molybdenum steel construction for exceptional strength and long service life with minimal chain wear
- Available in 15, 16 and 17-tooth configurations to tailor gearing precisely to your riding style and venue
- Compatible with both 520 and 525 pitch chains, giving you flexibility when building or refreshing a chain kit
- Precision-machined spline interface ensures a rattle-free, exact fit without shimming or adjustment
- Equally suited to road and track use — motorsport-grade quality without the motorsport price
Choosing the Right Tooth Count
The front sprocket has a disproportionately large effect on how the F3 delivers its power. A smaller sprocket shortens the overall gearing, sharpening throttle response and pulling harder out of slow corners — ideal for tight, technical circuits or city riding. A larger sprocket lengthens the ratio, reducing engine revs at motorway speeds and extending the gap before the next gearchange on fast sweeping roads or longer tracks.
With the A001 available in 15, 16 and 17 teeth, you can move one tooth at a time and feel a genuine difference in character without touching the rear sprocket or the chain length. It is one of the most cost-effective tuning changes available for the F3.
Build Quality and Longevity
Chrome-molybdenum steel sits well above the mild steel used in many budget sprockets. It resists the deformation that causes teeth to hook and accelerate chain wear, so the A001 maintains its profile across a full chain service interval rather than wearing out ahead of it. The machining tolerances are held tight enough that fitting is straightforward — the sprocket locates cleanly on the splines, and torquing the retaining nut to spec is all that is needed.
