Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Key Features

Dimension A 54 mm

Öhlins part number 04760-22

Dimension C 474 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 56 mm

Where It Sits

Dimensionally this is 54 mm, 56 mm, 474 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 04760-22 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 54 mm, dimension b 56 mm, dimension c 474 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking. Axle clamps and lower legs are machined to hold the axle without distorting the fork.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04760-22

Category: Outer Tubes

Dimension A: 54 mm

Dimension B: 56 mm

Dimension C: 474 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04760-22_ea42f154-8864-47bd-81c0-6ee21e3d62a1.png?v=1788873153
