DescriptionThe whole story▼

Built for the MV Agusta F4RC 1000 (2015–2018), a race-replica superbike meant for the circuit more than the road, the JP ACCGP MV002 adds a progressive return spring to the short-stroke throttle while keeping the inline-four's ride-by-wire fuelling exactly as MV Agusta tuned it for the RC's track-only character.

Key Features

  • MV Agusta F4RC 1000 (2015–2018)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

A Race Replica, Not a Road Bike in Disguise

The F4RC 1000 was built in limited numbers with circuit use as its real purpose, carrying track-focused components the standard F4 never had. Riders who take it to a session rather than a commute tend to want every control sharpened to match, and the throttle is no exception to that expectation.

Where the Wrist Gives Up First on Track

Lap after lap with the throttle pinned through a long straight, rolled past where comfort usually ends, is where most riders first notice fatigue building in the hand, and removing part of the standard rotation leaves more margin before that fatigue sets in.

A Progressive Spring for a Race Engine

The new grip's return spring resists more as the throttle opens further, giving a graduated sense of where the hand sits within the rotation rather than the flat resistance of a standard grip, which matters more on an engine tuned as aggressively as the RC's.

Milled Ergal for Repeated Track Use

Machining the housing from a solid 7075 Ergal billet rather than casting it keeps the lever's action from loosening through the far higher number of throttle cycles a circuit day puts through it compared with road use alone, session after session.

A Diagnostic Step the RC Needs

After the new throttle is fitted, the ride-by-wire control unit needs a short reset to relearn the throttle position sensor's range, a step that matters even more on a bike tuned as precisely as the RC where a mismatched idle stands out immediately.

Reversible for a Limited-Production Machine

Because the original throttle refits cleanly, an owner of a bike built in such limited numbers can try the shorter rotation without permanently altering a machine whose specification is part of exactly what makes it valuable in the first place.
