DescriptionThe whole story▼
A closed carbon disc over the rear wheel. On a Hypermotard it is by some distance the most unexpected thing in the catalogue, and its article number belongs to its own family rather than to this model's range.
Key Features
- Covers the rear wheel face
- 200 Plain weave, autoclave-cured
- Four finishes offered
- MD-WC24 order code family
- Hypermotard 821, 2013 to 2015
The Lightest Bike on the Fitment List
Fullsix lists this cover for machines ranging from a Diavel down to this one, and the Hypermotard sits at the far light end of that span. A tall, short-wheelbase supermoto has the least mass available to shrug off a side wind, and a closed wheel gives that wind a surface to push against.
Nobody should be talked out of a part they want. But this is the pairing where the effect is most likely to be noticed, and anyone whose commute crosses bridges or open ground should go in knowing it.
The Other Side of the Coin
On a motorcycle carrying almost no bodywork, a solid carbon rear wheel is the single most arresting change available. Nothing else in this range comes close for visual effect per euro spent, and on a bike this stripped there is nothing competing for attention.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati Hypermotard 821, model years 2013 to 2015, on the standard rear wheel.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this cover. Confirm it for your registration before an inspection.
Fitting
Balance the wheel afterwards, check valve access, and remove the cover once a year to clean behind it.
