DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Tracer 7 GT is made for covering long distances two-up with full cases, and that is where Accossato front pad AGPA97 in the Sintered (ST) compound comes in. A fortnight across the Alps or along the Atlantic coast brings cold starts, rainy afternoons and descents that go on for miles. Accossato lists AGPA97 for the Yamaha Tracer 7 GT from 2021 to 2026. ST is intended to keep the front brake's grip at a high, even level through all of it, wet or dry.
Key Features
- Front pad AGPA97 in Sintered (ST) compound
- Accossato lists it for the Yamaha Tracer 7 GT, 2021-2026
- Accossato: high, constant grip at high and low temperatures
- Accossato: grips well in the wet
- Consistent lever feel with a passenger and full cases
- A pair of pads for one caliper
- Also made as OR, EV1, EV2, ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its Sintered compound keeps a high, constant grip level whether hot or cold, and that it grips well in wet conditions. For a GT loaded with two people and luggage, which asks a lot of its front brakes on long descents and in poor weather, that consistency is the main reason to choose it. Accossato's general claims for its range, long life, reduced fade through limited heat and strong braking, are reported as its statements.
Two-Up Across Europe
A fully laden Tracer 7 GT is a heavy package, and on the way down a long pass the front brakes are used again and again with little time to cool. ST is designed to keep its grip steady as the pads warm, so the braking point on the last hairpin is where the rider expects it. When a summer storm breaks, the compound is meant to bite cleanly on a wet disc. For the passenger, that translates into smooth, predictable stops. If the GT is mainly a commuter, OR is quieter.
Packing the GT
Tour preparation on a GT tends to focus on luggage and route, but the brakes deserve an evening too: measure how much friction material remains, replace fluid that has turned amber, and clean the discs. Two weeks of loaded riding can consume a surprising amount of pad.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPA97 for the TRACER 7 700 GT from 2021 to 2026. There are two front calipers on the GT, so two boxes cover the whole front. At the rear, Accossato lists AGPP88 for 2021 to 2024. Renew the pads on both front calipers at once so the bike brakes evenly.
Road Approval
Without an ABE or any test paperwork on our side, AGPA97ST is offered for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two AGPA97 Sintered (ST) pads, enough for one front caliper of the Tracer 7 GT.
