DescriptionThe whole story▼
The clutch on a mid-size naked like the FZ8 does most of its work in traffic rather than on the open road, taking up slack at junctions and roundabouts dozens of times on an ordinary commute, and a lever that no longer returns cleanly turns that routine riding into a small irritation on every single one of them. Accossato lists the AGS01 for the FZ8 across 2011 to 2015, a silver clutch lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
A clutch lever worked constantly in traffic still gets priced the same way as any other item in Accossato's original spare parts range: the AGS01 is built to the cost of a standard repair, its shape taken from the clutch control the FZ8 is fitted with, keeping the reach the bike's commuting riders have already adjusted to. The maker's claim of improved resistance after damage comes with no technical detail beyond that, and none is supplied here. Silver is the colour listed for this fitment.
A Clutch Used in Short, Repeated Bursts
Commuting traffic asks very little of a clutch lever in terms of outright effort but a great deal in terms of repetition, with dozens of short pulls through a single journey rather than the occasional long one a touring bike's clutch sees. That pattern of use wears a pivot differently from a bike ridden mostly on the open road: less force each time, but more cycles overall, and a lever that has picked up even a little grit in the pivot starts to feel gritty on every single junction rather than only occasionally. Cleaning and greasing the pivot at a sensible interval, rather than waiting for the lever to feel obviously wrong, keeps the FZ8's clutch light through the kind of stop-start riding it does most often.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS01 for the FZ8 from 2011 to 2015, with the AGD221 and the AGD287 covering the brake side in silver and black respectively for the same years. The clutch code is shared with Aprilia's naked and adventure range, also listed in our catalogue for the Aprilia Tuono 660 and the RSV4 RR, among others. Accossato's CNC levers for this fitment are the EDF016 and ESY688.
Road Approval
We hold no approval documents for the AGS01, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark is claimed here, and the lever is offered for racing and competition.
