DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Mana 850 was Aprilia's answer for riders who wanted a proper motorcycle without a clutch lever. Its V-twin drives through an automatic gearbox that also lets the rider select from a set of fixed ratios, and where other bikes carry their fuel tank, the Mana has a compartment big enough for a helmet. That combination made it a natural choice for town riding from 2008 to 2016, and town is where parked bikes get knocked over. For the Mana 850, Accossato makes the AGD13, a silver front brake lever that keeps the shape of the standard one.

Key Features

  • Front brake lever for the Aprilia Mana 850, 2008 to 2016
  • In the shape of the standard lever, as a replacement
  • Silver, as Accossato lists it for the Mana 850
  • Right-hand side of the handlebar, front brake
  • Accossato states greater resistance after damage or a collision
  • Developed for good value for money
  • Contains one lever
  • Offered for track use, as no German ABE is documented

Construction and Material Quality

This is a replacement part, not a styling one. Accossato designs the AGD13 in the form of the lever the Mana 850 wore from new and classes it as an original spare parts type, developed for good value for money. The only further claim the company makes concerns durability: its manufacturing process, it says, gives these levers higher resistance after they have been damaged or involved in a collision. The AGD13 is silver. Beyond that Accossato gives no technical details, and we do not add any.

Parked Where the Scooters Park

In most cities, motorcycles share marked bays with scooters, packed in tightly and often half on the pavement. That is where a Mana 850 collects its knocks. A scooter reverses out and catches the handlebar, a delivery trolley is squeezed past, or the bike alongside goes over and takes the Mana with it. When a bike falls to the right, the front brake lever usually touches first, and on a machine ridden through traffic every day it is a control you use at every junction. A lever that is bent or broken short should not be ridden home through town. Replace it, clean and lightly grease the pivot, then make sure the brake light reacts and the pressure point is firm while the bike is still parked. Leaving the steering locked with the bars turned towards the stand makes the Mana a little harder to push over next time.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGD13 for the Mana 850 from 2008 to 2016. Because the Mana has no clutch lever, there is no clutch-side counterpart to order, and this is the only replacement lever of its kind we list for the bike. The same brake lever appears at Inter-Pace under the Mana 850 GT, the Dorsoduro 750 and the Shiver 750. For a Mana 850 with a lever in a different shape, Accossato's CNC brake lever EDF023 is the alternative. Please set your old lever next to our pictures before ordering.

Road Approval

We hold no approval papers for this lever, neither a German ABE nor a test mark, and therefore list it for racing and competition use.
