DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato PRS 19x17-18-19 with a Revolution lever combines the adjustable three-position pivot of Accossato's dual-disc brake range with a lever whose length, not just its pivot setting, can be tuned by adding or removing inserts. It is built for riders who want to fit the lever's reach to their own hand size as well as choosing between 17, 18 and 19 mm pivot positions. The CNC-machined or forged aluminium body is black anodised in Italy, and the lever is available in seven colours.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter, sized for dual-disc front brake systems
- Three-position adjustable pivot distance: 17, 18 or 19 mm
- Revolution lever with length adjustment by adding or removing inserts
- Seven lever colours with a colour-matched mounting nut
- CNC-machined or forged aluminium body with black anodised finish
- Offset riser that reduces master cylinder deflection under braking
- Stainless steel screws and a galvanised steel bleed valve
- Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato produces this master cylinder from forged aluminium while that stock lasts, or from CNC-machined aluminium billet, with every body anodised black in Italy. The screws fixing it to the bar are stainless steel, the bleed valve is galvanised steel, and the seals inside the bore are a Formula 1 compound suited to long-term brake fluid and heat exposure. An off-set riser is built into the clamp to resist bending under hard braking, and the internal shaping keeps the passive stroke, the travel before the pads make contact, more than 50 percent shorter than a standard radial unit allows.
Adjustable Pivot and Adjustable Reach
Most master cylinders in this range fix the lever's physical length and only let the rider change the pivot distance; this PRS version pairs the usual three-position pivot, 17, 18 or 19 mm for the dual-disc 19 mm piston, with a Revolution lever whose own length is set by adding or removing inserts at the blade. That second adjustment lets a rider with smaller hands bring the lever closer to the bar independently of whichever pivot distance is selected, something a standard folding or fixed lever cannot offer. Because both adjustments live in the lever itself, Accossato classes this configuration as suitable for all uses, from a relaxed road setting to a tighter track setup, without any parts exchange.
Fitment and Compatibility
Honda's touring line-up dominates the fitment picture for this brake master cylinder, with the GL1800 Gold Wing, VFR1200F and VFR800X Crossrunner among the 65 confirmed motorcycles. The Fitment tab on this page gives exact years for every model; verify it against your own registration before you order.
Road Approval
This brake master cylinder carries no ABE documented for this part number, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The package contains the Accossato CL050 radial master cylinder complete with the Revolution lever in the colour selected and its length-adjustment inserts fitted. Stainless steel mounting screws and the galvanised bleed valve are included; the stop light switch and fluid reservoir are not supplied and are ordered separately (switch under code ID001 or ID002, reservoir as a standalone item).
