DescriptionThe whole story▼

Some 200 EXC owners stick with the stock way of setting chain tension out of habit more than preference, having learned the routine on a previous bike and never seen a reason to change it. Accossato's RTM1 suits exactly that approach, replacing the rear axle blocks on the 200 EXC built between 2000 and 2016 without adding an adjusting screw to either one.

Key Features

  • Rear axle blocks for the KTM 200 EXC, 2000 to 2016
  • Accossato code RTM1, one pair, left and right
  • Chain tension set the stock way, with no built-in adjusting screw
  • Orange, black or silver
  • Also listed for a wide run of Husqvarna four-strokes on this swingarm
  • Accossato's RCM1 covers the same bike with an adjusting screw, for riders who prefer that method
  • No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

The RTM1 pair takes the place of the stock blocks without changing anything about how the wheel is set back for chain tension, leaving that job to the usual axle nut and marks on the swingarm. Orange, black or silver covers the available finishes, chosen to suit the rest of the bike rather than to stand apart from it. A block showing a deep gouge or sitting slightly out of shape after a hard knock is worth swapping for a fresh pair rather than left to wear further.

Sticking with a Familiar Routine

Riders who learned to set up a chain on an older bike, counting marks on the swingarm or lining up a punch mark on each side, often keep doing it that way even after moving to a newer machine that could just as easily take a screw-adjusted block instead. There is nothing wrong with that habit, and the RTM1 is built for exactly those owners, replacing a worn or damaged block without introducing a new adjustment method to relearn partway through a season. For someone who already knows their own routine well, swapping in the identical stock-style block keeps that routine unchanged.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the 200 EXC, Accossato's figures for the RTM1 match the RCM1 exactly, both covering 2000 to 2016, since the two differ only in how the chain is adjusted rather than where they sit on the bike. The same block also turns up against several Husqvarna four-strokes that share this swingarm. Confirming the exact year against Accossato's list remains worthwhile given how long this fitment window runs.

Road Approval

Accossato lists no German ABE for the RTM1, so the blocks are intended for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
