DescriptionThe whole story▼
The B3N is a 280 mm crossbar for Accossato's tapered 28 to 28.5 mm handlebar range, toward the wider end of the lengths on offer. Fitting it is a straightforward workshop job: the crossbar sits across the bar, the two clamps close around it, and both are tightened down with two screws each.
Key Features
- Crossbar and two-screw clamp kit for 28/28.5 mm variable-diameter handlebars
- 280 mm length, toward the wider end of the tapered range
- Two screws per clamp for an even, secure fit
- Matches the 28 to 28.5 mm centre section of tapered bars
- Supplied complete with both clamps and mounting screws
- No cutting, drilling or extra parts needed to fit it
Construction and Material Quality
Installing the B3N does not call for specialist tools: the two half-clamps close around the handlebar at the chosen points, the crossbar locates between them, and each clamp is drawn down evenly with its two screws so the bar sits square rather than twisted to one side. Because the clamp diameter matches the 28 to 28.5 mm tapered standard, no reducer or shim is needed between the crossbar and the bar it is fitted to.
Fitting It Yourself
Tightening the two screws on each clamp evenly, rather than fully tightening one side before starting the other, keeps the crossbar sitting level once both clamps are closed. At 280 mm, the B3N needs its clamp points measured against the handlebar before ordering, since a crossbar built for a shorter span will not reach, and one built for a longer span will sit at an angle rather than square.
Fitment and Compatibility
The B3N is a universal part rather than one tied to specific motorcycles, so no model-specific fitment list applies. Before ordering, confirm the handlebar uses the 28 to 28.5 mm tapered standard rather than a 22 mm constant-diameter bar, and measure the span the crossbar needs to cover.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for the B3N; registration rules depend on the country, so check local requirements before road use.
