DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Honda CRF150F is a small, air-cooled four-stroke trail bike, the sort that gets bought for a teenager's first proper season off-road or for a smaller adult who wants a calm machine for the woods. Its riders are often learning everything at once, and the front brake is usually the control they trust least. This is the lever that Accossato's B8206 replaces on the CRF150F built from 2003 to 2017: a CNC-machined Ergal 7075 part whose blade is joined to its base, so that a tip-over can push it forward instead of breaking it.

Construction and Material Quality
For a lever that will spend its life on a bike ridden by learners, Accossato's approach is plain and robust. A solid block of Ergal 7075, a high-strength aluminium alloy, goes onto CNC machines in Italy and comes off as a lever, shaped with three aims in mind: strength, low weight and reliability. The B8206 is made in two parts, a dark base that stays on the pivot and a blade in black, blue, gold or red that is joined to the base so that it can fold. The blade is shorter than on Accossato's clutch levers and made for three fingers.
Learning to Trust the Front Brake
Ask a group of new riders which brake worries them and most will point at the front. Somewhere they have heard that grabbing it on loose ground puts you on the floor, and there is truth in that, so they spend the whole day on the rear brake alone. On a flat trail the CRF150F lets them get away with it, but not on the first steep downhill, where the rear wheel locks and slides and the bike runs on faster than intended. Instructors usually tackle this with a simple exercise on flat, firm dirt: ride in a straight line in second gear, keep the bike upright, then squeeze the front lever smoothly and firmly until the bike stops, a little harder each time.
Some of those stops end in a stall and a gentle topple, usually because the clutch was forgotten. It happens at walking pace, yet the brake lever is still the first thing to touch the ground on the right. A solid lever may bend, and a bent lever sits in a different place under the fingers, the last thing a nervous rider needs. The B8206's blade can fold forward on its joint when it lands and then be moved back into position by hand. It will not come through every fall, but on most days it should keep the front brake feeling the same from the first exercise to the last, which is how trust in it grows.
Fitment and Compatibility
The B8206 is listed for the Honda CRF150F from 2003 to 2017 and mounts on the original front brake master cylinder. Its partner for the left side is the folding C7103 clutch lever, listed for the same years in black or red. If the two levers on the CRF150F should look alike, those are the colours both share; blue and gold are available on the brake side only.
Road Approval
No German ABE is recorded for this lever, and the CRF150F is an off-road trail bike. Use the B8206 on trails, practice grounds and private land, never on public roads.
