A hose-mounted reservoir lets the damper be fitted where a piggyback would not go. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis.

Why the Original

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 01042-05 in this case. Check dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 8 mm, dimension c 400 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01042-05

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 1 mm

Dimension B: 8 mm

Dimension C: 400 mm

Thread: M10x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01042-05_7cb1b81c-097e-4328-a252-392a3eb4a839.png?v=1788870429
