Months of development for four pipes. Spark's R&D department redimensioned the headers for the 2025 CBR 1000 RR-R rather than adapting the previous ones, and this is that section in full titanium, sold on its own.
Key Features
- Full titanium Evo 2025 header for the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, 2024 to 2026.
- Headers specifically designed and dimensioned for the new engine.
- 1-2 and 3-4 crossovers.
- CNC-machined titanium bushings at the couplings.
- Supplied without a link pipe or silencer.
- Part of the original fairing must be removed to fit it.
Why New Headers for a New Engine
Honda changed the 2025 CBR 1000 RR-R's engine, and Spark's response was not a bracket revision. The company states its R&D department worked for months to produce headers specifically designed and dimensioned to optimise the performance of the new unit.
That is the correct answer and an expensive one. Primary length and diameter determine where a four-cylinder's pressure waves arrive relative to valve timing, and an engine with revised timing wants different numbers. Carrying over the previous system would have worked and given away most of what a full system is bought for.
Crossovers Between Paired Cylinders
The header carries 1-2 and 3-4 crossovers: short balance pipes linking the cylinders that fire together on an inline four.
Their job is to let the pressure pulse from one cylinder help scavenge its partner, which fills in the parts of the torque curve a straight four-into-one leaves hollow. It is a detail you cannot see once the fairing is back on, and it is one of the reasons a full system behaves differently from a slip-on rather than just sounding different.
What Goes Behind It
Spark sells the Evo 2025 range in sections so the header and the back half can be chosen separately. Behind this one goes either the plain titanium link pipe SGHO8847*01 or the pre-silenced SGHO8849*01, and then a silencer group.
If you already know you want the link pipe, GHO8847R is the same header supplied with it, and the two routes come to within about ten euros of each other. Buy this number if the link pipe decision is still open, or if you are replacing a damaged header on a bike that already has one.
Fitment & Compatibility
Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, 2024 through 2026. With the link pipe included it is GHO8847R. With a titanium exhaust valve it is GHO8850. The complete system with a pre-silencer and Force Evo silencer is GHO8849T.
Road Approval
None. The header carries no EC certificate and removes the catalytic converter. Closed circuits only.
