Anti-foaming additives matter more in suspension than in almost any other application, because air in the oil means no damping at all.

Key Features

Öhlins original part

Made by Öhlins in Sweden

Available in 3 sizes

Details

Using a different oil changes the damping the shim stack was set for — it is not a like-for-like substitution. Öhlins states an oil for each of its units in the fitting instructions, and the numbers there assume that fluid. Öhlins develops its damping curves with its own oil in the unit, so the fluid is part of the specification rather than a consumable detail.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its suspension is fitted by an authorised service centre. We are one, and we do the work here: installation, servicing and a proper setup.
