O-ring sizes are given as inner diameter and cross-section, and both have to match — a close size is not a match. Cross-section is as important as diameter: an O-ring that is too thin will not seal at pressure. Nitrile, Viton and PTFE behave differently with temperature, and Öhlins picks per position.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 04721-01. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins specifies seal compounds for temperature stability rather than for the lowest unit cost. A leaking damper is not a cosmetic problem: it is a damper that has stopped controlling the wheel.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04721-01

Category: Scrapers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04721-01_5fcdbae7-482e-41ff-9855-fbe59a3dbc88.png?v=1788875256
