Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15457-01

What It Is

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. Öhlins fork parts are specific to the fork model, not interchangeable across the range.

Genuine Service Part

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 15457-01 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Inner tubes carry a low-friction coating; once it is through, the seals wear quickly.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15457-01

Category: Fork Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15457-01_dbb15db1-0b07-4f6d-8aca-f909f53289d5.png?v=1788878912
