Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. A bent inner tube is scrap — straightening changes the wall and it bends again.

Genuine Service Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 21842-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. dimension a 39 mm, dimension b 114.5 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Axle clamps are machined so the axle clamps without pinching the fork out of alignment. Inner tubes carry a low-friction coating; once it is through, the seals wear quickly.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21842-01

Category: Inner Tubes

Dimension A: 39 mm

Dimension B: 114.5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21842-01_7b4e207f-92fa-4d8d-a04f-13a68a4bbba8.png?v=1788880316
