For the Brutale 675, the JP PD MV002 replaces the right-hand switch with a body machined from Ergal 7075 on a universal clamp pattern.

Key Features

  • MV Agusta Brutale 675 (2012–2017)
  • Universal hole pattern for either master cylinder
  • Full street control set
  • Black, red or titanium anodising
  • CNC-milled Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the original connector

A Displacement Chosen Commercially

Six hundred and seventy-five cubic centimetres put the bike above the 600 class while staying below thresholds that mattered for tax and licensing in several European markets. MV built it for that reason and produced a genuinely charming motorcycle more or less by accident.

The Entry Point to the Marque

For several years this was the least expensive new MV Agusta on sale, which made it the first Italian motorcycle a great many people owned. Those owners keep them longer than the price suggests and spend on them accordingly, which is why the aftermarket is deeper than the production numbers would justify.

An Engine That Has to Be Worked

With less midrange than the 800, the 675 depends on the rider keeping it spinning. That means more gear changes, more attention and less capacity for hunting a control on the handlebar, which is the practical case for a switch that can be found by feel.

Nothing Between the Bar and the Sky

No screen, no fairing and no fly screen on most examples. Water reaches the controls at road speed, and the seam between the two halves of the standard moulded housing runs directly through the area where that matters most.

Universal Holes

The plate accepts both aligned and offset master cylinder clamp geometry. A brake upgrade is among the more common modifications on this motorcycle, and this keeps the switch entirely out of that decision.

Five Model Years

The fitment runs from 2012 to 2017, the whole production life of the 675 before MV rationalised the range around the 800. Parts specific to it were never plentiful, which makes a correctly engineered component worth taking when one appears.

Three Finishes

Black, red and titanium, anodised through the surface rather than painted onto it. On a Brutale in MV's own red and silver, the red option continues something already on the bodywork rather than introducing a fourth colour to the cockpit.
