DescriptionThe whole story▼
Two guards, left and right, shaped to the Termignoni silencers. Fullsix also makes a guard for the factory exhaust under a different number, and the two are not interchangeable.
Key Features
- Pair of guards for the Termignoni system
- Autoclave-cured 200 Plain weave
- Four finishes: clear coat, matt, satin, raw
- Standard-exhaust version is MD-9913-C61
- Single sides: MD-9912-C62L and MD-9912-C62R
Check What Is Actually on the Bike
Most 899s on the market now are second or third owner, and the exhaust is the modification that changes hands with them. A bike advertised as standard can be wearing a system the seller never mentioned, and a bike sold with a Termignoni can have had the original refitted before the photos were taken.
Look at the can before ordering rather than at the advert. Diameter and clamp spacing decide which guard fits, and no amount of persuasion makes the wrong one sit right.
What These Guards Do
They hold an air gap between the silencer body and anything that comes near it: a boot, a pillion's ankle, a paddock stand handle. The gap is the function, the carbon is just what makes it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati 899 Panigale, model years 2013 to 2015, with the Termignoni exhaust system fitted.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this set. The exhaust underneath has its own approval status, and on a used bike that is worth establishing before anything else.
Fitting
Cold system, both guards loose, gaps checked, then tightened. Look again after the first ride: exhaust hardware settles and a guard that has moved closer at one end shows it in the finish.
